Yarn, Connect, Share : Connect with others while you share a yarn and weave with Murruwarri artist, Virginia Keft and finalist in the 2024 North Sydney Art Prize
Weaving Connections provides a supportive environment in which to connect with others while sharing the fundamentals of weaving. The yarning circle is continuous and non-hierarchical - a harmonious, creative and collaborative space. To underpin the collective nature of the circle, participants, are invited to contribute woven pieces to a collaborative artwork.
This workshop is for people 16 years and over. No prior experience is necessary; whether this is your first time or you are a master weaver, all are welcome.

About the 2024 North Sydney Art Prize
North Sydney Council's biennial art prize at the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability features over 90 Australian artists. Selected artworks respond to a curatorial theme addressing local and global concerns including sustainability, climate action, and consumer culture. The diverse selection includes printmaking, drawing, painting, photography, sculptures, textiles, new media, and site-specific installations displayed throughout the Centre’s unique post-industrial setting including the subterranean tunnels and chambers.
