“Connecting with Country” painting workshop presented by artist Hayley Pigrim.

Suitable for children 8-12 years.

Hayley is a Darug woman from the Sydney area. She was born and raised on her traditional homelands in the southwest of Sydney and has always had a close connection to her culture and Country.

Hayley’s creative practice is diverse and takes many forms, allowing her to express her deep connection to her family and their stories. In this workshop Hayley will talk to the participants about what “Connecting with Country” means and where she draws inspiration from in the creation of her own art. Each participant will create a painting based on the theme Connecting to Country, that they can take home.
